Stock Training
Training of Stock
Animals need time to discover that fences are hostile. This is specially true of young stock. Excited animals straight from hill country need a calming off period before being introduced to fencing. Stock will approach the fence line in an inquiring manner by attaching food, silver paper, etc. to the wire. They will quickly learn the source of the shock. Sheep are more easily trained immediately after shearing.
Silage Training:
All Cheta Fence controllers feature three outputs. The low output should always be used to introduce stock to Silage. The medium output is usually sufficient for trained stock. High output is for out the Farm Fencing.
Model M-60 and G303 Hi-Power Fencers: High output Terminals on these two controllers should never be used to control Stock in an enclosed Paddock, Yard or at a Silage Barrier.
